Terry Tredway
Head of Customer Service & Warranty Operations
Terry Tredway serves as the Head of Customer Service and Warranty Operations for American Transmission, bringing more than four decades of automotive and transmission industry experience to the team.
Terry began his career in 1981, opening and operating a Mr. Transmission location in Bradenton, Florida, right out of high school. After ten years in the transmission industry, he continued building his expertise with AAMCO in Sarasota, Florida, where he spent the next fifteen years serving customers and solving complex drivability and transmission concerns.
In 1997, Terry joined American Transmission. Aside from a brief two-year departure, he has remained a dedicated member of the American Transmission family and continues to be a trusted resource for customers, technicians, and team members alike.
An ATRA (Automatic Transmission Rebuilders Association) member since 1991, Terry has built a reputation for technical excellence and customer advocacy. He holds advanced certifications in electrical and computer diagnostics for foreign, domestic, and heavy-duty applications and is currently expanding his expertise through Tesla’s Electric Vehicle training program.
As the leader of American Transmission’s Customer Service and Warranty Department, Terry works closely with customers, installers, fleets, dealerships, and repair facilities to ensure issues are resolved quickly, fairly, and professionally. His decades of hands-on experience allow him to diagnose problems, identify root causes, and help customers get back on the road with confidence.
When he’s not helping customers, Terry enjoys spending time with his five successful children, thirteen grandchildren, and his beloved dogs. Known for his sense of humor and willingness to help others, Terry brings both expertise and personality to everything he does.
Jacob Fairchild
Customer Service / Field Representative
My name is Jacob Fairchild, and the automotive industry has been a part of my life from the very beginning. I grew up on the shop floor my family’s full-service gas station and auto repair shop in Titusville, Florida. Coming from a family deeply rooted in the automotive world, I learned early on the value of hard work, integrity, and treating every customer like family.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to work with several major automotive brands, including Ford, General Motors, Mazda, Nissan and Chrysler. I’ve also proudly owned and operated my own auto repair shop for 10 years, giving me firsthand experience in every aspect of running a successful business and serving customers.
My background includes outside sales, management, customer service, warranty and even research and development with automotive companies. These experiences have given me a well-rounded understanding of the industry from the shop floor to the corporate level.
Automotive isn’t just my career—it’s in my blood. I never forget where I came from, and I believe there’s always something new to learn. As technology continues to transform the industry, I stay committed to growing every day while holding onto the knowledge, craftsmanship, and values that built the foundation of my career.
